Cement

Cement is manufactured using a controlled combination of various chemicals, including aluminum, silicon, calcium and many other constituents. When heated, these blended chemicals form a very hard, rock-like product that is ground into the powder that is cement. ALTIFILâ„¢ contains both the aluminum and silica components required in cement production, replacing kaolin and silica as source of aluminum silicate. ALTIFILâ„¢ has very low levels of impurities, low iron content, and improves the high-resistance and insulating properties of cement, making it ideal for cement production.

Fiberglass

Pyrophyllite is a key component in commercial production of E-Glass fibers, which enables the elimination of sand in the batch and improves batch-to-melt conversion efficiency and lowers conversion energy.

Plastics

Trinity offers a high brightness, high aspect ratio product that replaces talc as a reinforcing additive for strength.

Agriculture

Pyrophyllite’s presence in agriculture includes its use as an anti-caking agent and moisture barrier in feed pre-mixes, enhancing the flowability and effectiveness of agricultural products.
